Sometimes it’s absolutely nice to travel far – even without concerts or masterclass – just to see close friends and visit new countries.
Inbetween a Japan-Tour I had the opportunity to travel to New Zealand for 3 days the first time in my life. My friend Cellist Martin Rummel has been living there since half a year, in accordance with his new position as Head of School at the University of Auckland. I had such a great time due to the hospitality of Martin. He showed me around – from vineyard to vineyard – and I really got a great impression of Auckland and his surroundings. I’m very much looking forward coming back soon, showing all these wonderful places to my family. And to see Martin, his partner Eric Lamb and of course gorgeous beagle Herrprofessor there again. Thank’s a lot, Martin!
