White Princess, Nuremberg 1728

20140403-_MG_4205May I introduce myself: I’m the latest “baby” in Julia’s and Walter’s small flute collection. They call me “White Princess”, because of my all white color – I’m made of ivory!  I was shaped in 2013 by fabulous instrument maker Giovanni Tardino in Basel. Of course I’m a traverso flute – and the perfect copy of a an original OBERLENDER instrument from Nuremberg around 1730.

So – I’m THE Bach instrument. My sound is very, very special, transcendent and soft – as they say. You can hear my voice in Walter and Julias “Silver, Gold and Ivory”  concert program, which, I guess, they named after me…

Note: Of course the ivory I’m made of,  is old, legal and perfectly documented!
